Dried pomegranates are a health food and have been found time and again to be enriched with vital nutrients. It is mentioned in scriptures aging back to the B.C. and is a fruit native to Persia. The uniqueness of this fruit is that it is useful in many forms. Even in its dried state, dried pomegranates can be used as a floral display or decorative object. When used as a floral decoration, dried pomegranates add a splash of vivid colour and attractiveness. Pomegranates have a natural colour that ranges from bright red to almost burgundy.

Health Benefits

The seeds of the pomegranate fruit are full of B Vitamins, potassium and folic acid. For vegans, these are a wonderful source of Iron. Many research studies also show that pomegranate seeds protect a person from cancer and help fight cardiovascular diseases.

Eating raw fruit is not everybody’s cup of tea. Drinking the juice of the pomegranate fruit fights high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases. Some studies show that this is actually better than grape juice or red wine.

The seeds of dried pomegranate are used for extracting oil which has countless health benefits. Pomegranate oil is great for hair, nails and cuticles.
